APPLIED ENGLISH NOUNS is a part of the lexical project which was independently conducted in more than two years.
This corpus-based list includes 843 English nouns, which originates from the database (746,987 words) of test preparation materials, jointly published by Cambridge University Press and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
The list has been developed through combining concordance software, collation of six wordlists: New General Service List, New Academic Words List, Dolch Words List, Globish English List, The Oxford 3000, and Longman Communication 3000, and theories of applied linguistics.
After that, the product of this process has been continued to be refined in the practice of English learning in order to generate the final CORE nouns list.
The BOLD nouns, in authentic examples, were arranged according to frequency in the corpus (749 - 5) and alphabetical order.
