Sparks fly when the childhood enemies are brought together by their eager parents. But even as Rana and Srishti continue to snap at each other, why aren't they able to keep their hands off one another? Is there something more between them than just childhood rivalry? Find out in—THE HOLIDAY AFFAIR.
“You are such an ass!” Srishti hissed.
"I was joking," Rana replied. "Why do you have to be so serious about a little joke? You still haven’t learnt to take a joke after all these years.”
"Of course I can take a joke,” she snapped defensively. “But only when it’s not made by an immature ass who thinks they are god’s gift to the mankind.”
"I’m not immature." He then put on an exaggerated thoughtful look. "I don’t know about the entire mankind, but maybe god’s gift to women...”
"Ughh! Can you do everyone a favor and please keep your mouth zipped for rest of the evening."
"Didn’t your mother order you to be attentive and polite with me,” he reminded her with a smirk.
“Arrghh! You’ve always driven me crazy, even when we were in school. I can’t believe my parents think we are well-suited. You are such a... such a...” she slowly trailed off looking at the shift in his expression.
The atmosphere in the room had changed completely as well. From bickering and scoring, it now felt heavy with tension.
"Such a what?” Rana asked softly.
Srishti kept staring at him. And then, she slowly took a small tentative step towards him. He didn’t move, and kept his eyes locked on hers. She took another small step towards him. And soon, her steps quickened and she was running towards him.
Rana opened his arms and caught her when she nearly leaped over him. The next instant, his lips were on hers.
