About Barrett Tagliarino Barrett Tagliarino is an author, guitar instructor, and musician from Kentucky. He has authored numerous instructional workbooks. Some of these titles are Rhythmic Lead Guitar, Chord Tone Soloing, Music Theory: A Practical Guide For All Musicians, and Guitar Reading Workbook. Tagliarino was drawn to the charm of the guitar at the early age of 9. After completing his University education at Indiana University, he moved to Los Angeles in the early 1980s. In his long career, he has played on every reputable stage in Los Angeles starting from the Viper Room to the Whiskey-Go-Go-Go.
